HERITAGE DAYS

Join us August 1st – 4th, 2019 in Del Norte, Colorado for the Annual Covered Wagon/Heritage Days Celebration. Here is a schedule of the events. We will have tractors on display!

2019 Schedule

Thursday – August 1 

Quilt Show at Kathy’s Fabric Trunk, Columbia St and Grande Ave

6:00 pm – Meet Your Neighbor Night with Potluck at River Valley Inn, 1335 6th Street

Friday – August 2

6:00 pm – SLV Veterans’ Benefit Pig Roast, Del Norte High School Bus Barn, SW corner County Road 13 and 10th Street. Live music by Dean Family (Tickets available at Bus Barn:  $15/person, $10/child 7-12 years old, and free for children under 7 years old)

Saturday – August 3

7:00 am – Del Norte Library Book Sale until Noon at 790 Grande Avenue

7:00 am – Val Alto Pancake Breakfast at HVCC, 595 Grande Avenue

7:30 am – It’s the Bee’s Knees 5K Trail walk/run, start (& end) at HVCC, 595 Grande Avenue

8:00 am – Pie Sale at Ruth Marie Center, Columbia Street

8:30 am – Parade participants number pickup, lineup and walk-in registration at Cedar and 6th Streets

9:00 am – Merchant Open House at local Del Norte businesses all day.

10:00 am – Parade ‘Expanding Horizons’ Opening Ceremonies at Columbia Street and Grande Avenue

11:00 am – Del Norte Fire Department BBQ Lunch at the DN Firehouse at 880 Grande Avenue

11:00 am – Car Show on Columbia Street

11:00 am – Ice Cream Social at the Rio Grande County Museum, 580 Oak Street

11:00 am – Tractor Club Homemade Ice Cream Sale on Columbia Street at Grande Avenue

12:00 pm – Historical Hay Wagon Tours/Haywagon rides, depart on Oak Street across from the Rio Grande County Museum

Mountain Man Encampment/Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration, Town Park, 32 Spruce Street

Antique Tractor Display by SLV Antique Iron Club, Columbia Street and Grande Avenue

Contests throughout the day – Pie eating, Merchant Window Displays, and Period Dress

1:00 pm – Historical Hay Wagon Tours/Haywagon rides, depart on Oak Street across from the Rio Grande County Museum

1:00 pm – Seven Falls Native Dancers, Town Park, 32 Spruce Street

2:30 pm – Seven Falls Native Dancers, Town Park, 32 Spruce Street

7:00 pm – Concert at Wildwood Sounds, Zultan and The Fortune Tellers, 850 Grande Avenue

9:00 pm – Union Gray at Colorado Grille, 590 Grande Avenue

Sunday – August 4

8:00 am – Fly-in and breakfast at Kent Rominger Regional Airport

10:00 am – Church Service in the Park, 32 Spruce Street

12:00 pm – Community cookout in the Park, 32 Spruce Street
